Pink Page for Donna Sue Groves and other Cancer Warriors

Maxine & Donna Sue Groves

A true friend to the Barn Quilt Association of Garrett County, Donna Sue Groves first conceived the barn quilt project in Ohio, as a tribute to her mother, Maxine, an avid quilter.

Donna Sue is undergoing treatment for  cancer.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her during this difficult time.

Another upcoming documentary featuring Donna Sue: Pieced Together: A Documentary is currently in production from Director/Producer Julianne Donofrio.  Help make the film a reality by helping Julianne with her Kickstarter Campaign.  “The film tells the story of how one woman’s love for her mother changed the American landscape – and saved her life. ”  View a snippet of the video here.

Donna Sue came to Garrett County in April 2008 to share her story with our volunteers. She is a delightful speaker, often making the audience laugh (and sometimes cry), all the while learning from her vast experience.

Donna Sue has offered her help as our project progresses, and has been a wealth
of information as we struggle through our first year as a new organization.

Finances are still extremely tight.  She could use a medical miracle right now.
Prayers and donations would be appreciated!
