Western Garrett County State Park Volunteers placed this beautiful “Flying Geese” barn quilt on the historic Friend’s Sang Run Store.
The Flying Geese pattern was reportedly used in quilts hung on porches as a signal for the Underground Railroad, guiding former enslaved people to safety.
